Flash stick tutorials!!?

Can someone show or tell me how to make a stickman walk with an animation so for how long u press the key down the leg moves and if you release the key the leg moves to its original position,Flash stick tutorials!!?
2 frame movieClip, first frame contains a movieClip of a stickman standing still, 2nd frame contains a movieClip of a stickman walking.





in an ';onEnterFrame'; script you'd have ';if (whatever key) is down, tell the movieClip to gotoAndStop(2), and ELSE, tell it to gotoAndStop(1)





If that didn't make sense, either I explained it badly, or need more actionScript practice. Try Flashkit.com or something.





No idea why you're doing that.. but experimenting is good. Once you've figured out basic stuff like movieClips, onEnterFrame, etc, you should be able to answer your own questions.

Id like to see a page that explains the VERY basics of cs4 flash. I'm talking about tool descriptions, useful hot keys, toolbar descriptions. You know, interface stuff. i'm sorry i'm a noob at both html and dreamweaver... but i think i can provide some assistance on the flash subject. my favorite flash sites for animation help are probably www.2flashgames.com and definitely www.newgrounds.com.


as for actionscripting tutorials, when you start making games and such, you can definitely rely on www.flashkit.com, newgrounds again, and www.actionscript.org is one of my favorites.
